 说道光刀，大家一定会想到星球大战中绝地武士们挥舞的光剑，但是维斯特光刀是有很大不同的。维斯特光刀更像是一个大号的激光手电筒，其发出的激光能射到很远的距离。但具有杀伤力的部分却很短，只有一米左右。原因是光刀需要激光源源不断地发出，激光在发出一米后能量就散失大半了，几乎没有了杀伤能力。因此要使用好维斯特光刀，需要经过大量的训练，不然很难把握有效的杀伤范围。
